The Rogue Valley Classic Chevys Car Club
has approximately 100 families that
enjoy classic and custom cars of any
make or model or style. We frequently
have gatherings where we 'Chat & Chew'.
Chat about our common bind - the old
cars. and chew - because we all are fond
of good food. We usually meet the second
Sunday of each month at the Fruitdale
Grange in Grants Pass on Rogue River
Highway (for those familiar with Grants
Pass, it is across the street from
Grovers). Social time (the chat time)
begins at 3:30, followed by a pot- luck
(the chewing) at 4:00. The general
meeting is usually around 5:00, which
lasts about an hour or so. After that, a
number of us go to the Dairy Queen on N
6th St in Grants Pass. More C & C. For
the information about the next meeting,
see the latest newsletter link which has
the time and place on the front page.
There are are no restrictions or car
requirement in order to join the club.
Our President has a Chevy, the VP has a
cherry Buick, the webmaster has a Dodge
Challenger and so on... Our club members have them
all. To join the club, call any board
member or just show up. Guest(s) get to
go first in the pot-luck line. We will
provide the table settings for you. The
club dues are $24 per calendar year
pro-rated.
Our major project is the annual Charity
Car Show held the end of July each year
at Riverside Park in Grants Pass. It's
purpose is to raise funds for local
charities and automotive scholarships at
Rogue Community College (RCC). We select
3 major charities each year and usually
are able to present them with a $5000
check in the fall. We also have 2
ongoing $1000 scholarships at RCC. We
also donate to several needy charities
throughout the year. We have raised over
$210,000 for the community from the show
over the years.
Come join the fun bunch, talk about cars
and contribute to the community. You
will enjoy it!.
